UNDER THE STARS
“I snapped this photo while backcountry camping with a good friend in the East Block of Grasslands National Park in Val Marie, Sask.,” shares Ezra Meszaros of Saskatoon. “We hiked out into the Valley of 1,000 Devils in the afternoon heat and set up camp alongside a dry embankment in the side of the valley. While my buddy was settling in for the night, I asked him to shine his headlamp up at the roof of his tent for a couple of photos. The diffuse light gave the valley wall an interesting orange glow!”
TOP OF THE WORLD
“A couple of years ago my wife, Stephanie, and I hiked the Sunshine Coast Trail,” says Matt Perkins of Shawnigan Lake, B.C. “It stretches for 180 kilometers and took us 11 nights to complete. I captured this shot of Stephanie at the top of Tin Hat Mountain. We were rewarded with clear skies and a beautiful sunset!”
