Summer vacations ~ the happiest time for all school going kids.

Back To School - Ready, Steady, Go!

No pressure of going to school, no homework and so no fixed time table. Waking up late in the morning, staying up late at night, eating all sorts of junks are all parts of the vacation. It becomes difficult for the parents to put them to a daily routine when the schools reopen. We want to put our best foot forward for our children, so here are five important yet easy ‘back to school’ tips to have a healthy and happy start to your child’s fresh academic year.

1. Adjust their Bedtimes and Internal clocks:

This should start at least a week before the school starts. Put them to bed early and wake them up early. This should be adjusted as per their school timings. Sleeping hours should be between 8-10 hours for children above the age of 8. Ensure that one hour before sleeping and after waking up they should not be allowed to access any Mobile/ electronic media device. This is extremely important for healthy sleep and hence for a healthy body and mind.
