Don't Label Yourself As Weak
Rishimukh|June 2017

Throw out your label. Never ever say that you are weak. However your past has been, just kick that and be in the present moment and move on. If a lion puts up a sticker on its head saying,” I am a lamb, I am a sheep”, nobody will believe it. This is what you are doing.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
Don't Label Yourself As Weak

Never mind if you fall ten times or a 100 times; I don’t mind, but keep walking. If you fall, never mind! Get up and run again! This is what a sadhak is; this is what a seeker is. See, as a child how many times you have fallen before you could stand up on your legs. You were crawling and crawling and trying to get up and you fell so many times. Finally, you started walking. That is it! Never say, “I have fallen ten times, I can never stand up. I am going to walk like a cat with two legs and two hands. I can never stand up”. It does not make sense.

If you are a bird, you may fall, but you have wings. Wake up and continue to fly. Feeling a connection with spirituality, with a master and with the tradition and saying, ‘I am weak!’, is not acceptable at all, it is an ignorant statement.

Those who are sensitive often feel weak. Those who feel strong are often insensitive. Some people are sensitive to themselves but insensitive to others. They often feel the others are the ‘bad guys’. Those who are sensitive to others but not to themselves often end up feeling, “Poor me!” Some conclude it’s better not to be sensitive, because sensitivity brings pain. They shut off. But mind you, if you are not sensitive, you will lose all the finer things in life intuition, beauty and ecstasy of love. Insensitive people usually do not recognize their weaknesses. And those who are sensitive do not recognize that their sensitivity is their strength. This path and this knowledge make you strong and sensitive.

Sensitivity is intuition. Sensitivity is compassion. Sensitivity is love. Sensitivity is real strength: calmness, endurance, silence, non-reactive, confidence, faith and a smile. Be both sensitive and strong.
