NO matter what size it is, a plot will always be enanced by climbing plants; but in smaller gardens they are our best friends. Scrambling up walls and trellises, they provide a lot of plant and impact for our money, and do not take up much precious room in the borders. Clothing boundaries with foliage and flowers is also a useful design trick, cheating the eye into thinking the space is a lot bigger than it actually is.
