The Importance Of Insects

I WAS lucky enough to bump into the wildlife expert, conservationist and TV presenter Chris Packham at this year’s RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival in Surrey because BBC’s Springwatch programme had a wildlife garden there. I didn’t get much of a chance to talk to him, because he was either having his picture taken with groups of heat-stressed schoolchildren, or he was being interviewed on his phone. I’m a great fan of his and I was very honoured that Chris wrote a foreword for my book, The Living Jigsaw. It began, “At last a gardening book that gets it.”
