The Convergence India 2019 is back with its 27th edition, with an aim to accelerate the vision of ‘Digital India’ forward
According to Convergence India statistics, India’s internet economy will surpass $250 billion by 2020. Our country is anticipated to reach 84 billion internet video minutes per month by 2021, with total unique subscribers reaching 955 million by 2020. Digital payments in India will be seen touching $500 billion by 2020. In an era defined by consistent digital advancements, one has to keep pace with the augmentations in order to stay in the hearsay. The Convergence India expo was conceived in 1992, and is now credited as one of India’s leading technology shows. The exhibition and concurrent conference sessions are held at the capital, Delhi, and usually span over three days, with each day flashing the spotlight on current fads and technologies pertaining to telecommunication, broadcast, cable and satellite TV, cloud and big data, IoT, digital homes, mobile devices, film and radio, content creation, management and delivery, amongst others. The convention also aims at facilitating engagement with digital innovators, international business gurus, telecommunication and broadcasting czars, leaders from IT, Internet and IoT industries.
“Attending the expo helped me understand the underlying building blocks of big data and how to build a business on top of it,” said Raj Mohan Nair from India TV.
It is a mecca of industry experts coming together under one roof to take ahead the vision of making India a $1-trillion digital economy in the coming years. Every year, the expo culminates into a networking opportunity for exhibitors, speakers, visitors and delegates, thus, resulting in empowering the citizens of the country by transforming the landscape of Indian economy. The event highlights over 25,000 visitors, over 800 exhibitors, around 1500 delegates, over 200 eminent speakers, and participation from over 30 countries, every year.
