I'm Going To Clear My Name

Brendon Naidoo says he’s being framed – and that when it’s all over he wants to marry his “superwoman” DJ Zinhle.

ARE they or aren’t they still dating? That’s the question on people’s lips after DJ Zinhle abruptly stopped posting loved-up social media snaps of the man she affectionately introduced to the world as “Mr Bond”.

She first posted a cryptic photo of his hand along with an expensive watch eight months ago, hinting at a new romance. And as their relationship blossomed the celebrity DJ peppered her Instagram account with pictures of her stylish suitor.

When we identified the mystery man as Richards Bay-born businessman Brendon Naidoo last year, Zinhle told us she was in a “very happy space”.

But just when it seemed he was healing her broken heart, Brendon (32) was arrested for fraud – and Zinhle (33) hasn’t mentioned him since.

Sources close to her say she was devastated and confused when Brendon was locked up for allegedly scamming teachers and pensioners out of millions and labelled a conman (DJ’s ‘Bond’ exposed, 13 April).

Right now she’s keeping her relationship out of the spotlight to protect her brand, insiders say, and she was nowhere to be seen when her man app eared in court.

Zinhle has steadfastly refused to discuss the fraud charges or her relationship – but in an exclusive interview with us the embattled businessman claims they’re stronger than ever.

“It’s been tough but we’re good. Whenever we’re together, we’re happy,” says Brendon, who’s out on R60 000 bail. Zinhle’s social media silence doesn’t mean they’ve broken up, he stresses.

“Instagram is for the public but relationships are private. I’m still a private guy and this whole attention thing is not for me.” Brendon, who posed with fancy motor bikes and watches worth big bucks in Zinhle’s social media snaps, says his arrest has strengthened their relationship.
