The resistance will be televised. Christine Baranski, Audra McDonald, and newest cast member Michael Sheen are ready to rumble in the third season of the addictive legal drama.
CHRISTINE BARANSKI WOULD LIKE TO clarify something about Michael Sheen’s penis. Contrary to internet lore, Sheen did not name his manhood “The Great Christine Baranski,” as the actor’s then-girlfriend Sarah Silverman asserted in 2015. Baranski knows this because Sheen—who joins the cast of her legal drama The Good Fight this season—told her during their first scene together. In it, Diane Lockhart (Baranski) finds a wildly bearded lawyer named Roland Blum (Sheen) sitting in her darkened office.
“In the middle of shooting that scene, he looked up and said, ‘You know, I never said that about my penis,’ ” she recalls. “And I said, ‘It’s fine. However I’m associated with you is an honor, Michael.’ ” Baranski marvels at the longevity of this funny but fictional piece of trivia. “It’s amazing, the viral power of the internet. People ask me about it on the red carpet. On Graham Norton it’s the first question. People can’t get over it. I suppose it’s generated a lot of buzz.”
