Jacqueline Fernandez On Her Success Story

Jacqueline Fernandez is having the time of her life. After the resounding success of Judwaa 2 last year and the recent release of Race 3, this fresh-faced Bollywood diva is now gearing up for her next big movie, Drive, co-starring Sushant Singh Rajput. In the 10 years that she’s been in the industry, Fernandez has managed to garner a massive following comprising grownups and children alike. So much so that it wouldn’t be surprising to walk in on the kids in your family shaking a leg to the tunes of Chitiya Kalaiya or Chalti Hai Kya 9 Se 12. And Fernandez is clearly basking in all the love that she’s receiving from her little fans. It shows on her face too; she radiates positivity and joy on the day of the Femina cover shoot. You can’t help but feel happy for the Sri Lankan beauty who was once an outsider, and has now slowly but surely made a mark in the film industry.

Your career trajectory is on a steady rise. To what do you owe your success? At the end of the day, there are so many people who come together and are immensely helpful and supportive while making a film. But it does ultimately come down to you—how much you want something and how far you’re willing to push yourself for it.
