You may resort to erotica to spice things up between the sheets, but the concept of orgasm denial is far more exciting than chains, whips, blindfolds, and 50 shades of kink.

The Concept Of Orgasm Denial And Extended Foreplay To Boost Your Sex Life

I was on the brink of orgasm!” she exclaimed, almost flushed when reliving events from the night before. “Everything about it was incredible. We met, grabbed a few drinks, there was undeniable chemistry, so we took things back to his place.” The conversation between girlfriends was getting juicy. “I loved that he wanted to get kinky. He tied me up and blindfolded me; I had no idea what to expect,” she continued. The whole experience sounded exhilarating and it was difficult to wait for the story to reach its inevitable climax. “You would think he’d let me peak,” she went on, “but he repeatedly took me to the edge, and stopped just before I could orgasm. By the end of it, I begged him to let me finish!”

Sounds like something straight out of one of the 50 Shades books, but a quick Google search reveals that this form of play, orgasm denial, isn’t limited to Bondage and Sadomasochism (BDSM) alone. So what exactly is orgasm denial? The technical term states that it is erotic sexual denial—sexual practice or sex play in which a person is kept in a heightened state of arousal for an extended period of time, without reaching climax. Simply put, it’s the practice of prolonged teasing and stimulating to ensure the big O turns into an “oh wow!”

Priti Kedar*, 36, media professional, says, “I came to know about it during a discussion with friends. The next time my ex and I were fooling around, I told him of it, and he was on board. It was tough in that moment, since I craved for a release after almost peaking, but I wanted to try it. We let a few minutes pass before he started stimulating me again, and I finally reached orgasm. It was heightened in a way I can't really explain.”
