Technology has revolutionised the I beauty industry with treatments that are becoming more result-oriented, less time-consuming and extra effective. The use of advanced technology in skincare seems to be growing rapidly as well. Skincare today involves processes, procedures, and tools designed to nip any skin issue in the bud, rather than being just about ingredients.

The last two years have been tough on the skincare industry. As more innovative products flooded the market, in-clinic treatments took a dip due to the pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns. With the gradual opening up of the industry, treatments have gone through a makeover to deliver better results in a shorter period of time, and with fewer side-effects. We've revered the benefits of laser technology, LED light therapy, and microdermabrasion over the past few years, but it's time to start with a clean slate in 2022. We spoke to four leading dermatologists of the Indian skincare industry to ask what the year looks like for skincare.
