Whenever a superstar like Shahrukh Khan appears in a film, the media as well as his fans are eager to know what makes him tick so well with each and everybody on the sets or outside, whether at home with his family who also want to know what kind of work he will do in his next film and this time around Shahrukh was also facing the biggest opposition from one of his earlier directors (Rakesh Roshan's KAABIL which also released on 25th January , the same day when RAEES was released). With the last minute interviews from the superstar, this is what Mohan Ayyer of GLOBAL Magazine chatted with him for non-stop 30 minutes.

From a lover boy in DEEWANA, DDLJ, DIL TOH PAGAL HAIN, DEVDAS, KUCH KUCH HOTA HAIN,RAB NE BANA DI JODI,JAB TAK HAIN JAAN etc and also a lover-boy -cum-villain in BAAZIGAR and DARR, I have come a long way now in RAEES and people tell me that I have worked very hard in RAEES. This time with director Rahul Dholakia around and his unit of very intelligent persons, I was wondering what kind of RAEES I would be in the final outcome. But both Rahul and I jelled very well and he understood me much better while the shooting progressed and the result is that he has come out with a daringly different film which I am sure every fan of mine and also the paying audiences will love to watch on the big screen.
You are running a severe cold and also not in a proper shape but you still are at your sporting best with the media personnells.

Sab Ko khush rakhna mera peshaa hain. I have to go thru the script, then have brainstorming with the writers and finally get convinced with director Rahul Dholakia as far as RAEES is concerned. Phir shooting khatam hone ke baad, planning the release publicity and sitting with distributer Anil Thadani to go for a saturation release as it is a long weekend and before that talk to you people so that everything goes smoothly with each and every unit member of both Red Chillies as well as Farhan's Excel Entertainment. I have to manage so much with the makers, the director, my staff members etc. Thoda bahut health kharaab toh hota hee hain(lighting his cigarette). But I enjoy talking to you people aur main mauqa sab ko detaa hoon.
It is said that Rahul Dholakia and his team were tensed on the sets for the first few days of shooting for RAEES.
