A pair of ambulance workers have poured their passion for ale into a new Hitchin venture

First Brews In A Century

Two paramedics have joined forces to make Hitchin’s first commercially brewed beer in more than a century. Carl Paddison and Nick Phillips, who both work for London Ambulance Service, established Brews n Twos at the end of last year and have launched their first two ales at Beer Shop Hitchin.

We started brewing at UBREW (an open brewery) in London,’ Carl explains, ‘then set up a 100-litre three-tun system in my outhouse in Hitchin.’
