RISING STAR
Tom Holland is best known for playing Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). His father, Dominic, is a comedian and his mother is a photographer. Tom is the oldest of four brothers.
A BORN ACTOR
In 2008, Holland played the title role of Billy Elliot the Musical in London’s West End. but it took him eight auditions and two subsequent years of training to get this career-defining role. Then on, there was no looking back.
Holland acted in The impossible (2012) alongside Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. His performance was praised so highly that there were even rumors he was a contender for an Academy Award nomination. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on 9 September 2012, earned $180.3 million worldwide and won Holland several awards. Soon after, he starred in the Heart of the Sea (2015), and The Lost City of Z (2016). in 2017, Holland received the BAFTA Rising Star Award.
