Daisy Ridley is living a charmed Hollywood life: Her very first movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, was a $2 billion smash. But reprising the role of heroine Rey for its sequel, The Last Jedi, made the 25-year-old nervous all over again.
“The jitters were very much still there,” says Ridley, who beat back anxiety with intense workouts. “I really pushed my stamina. Picking up a lightsaber and doing fights, I knew how much further I could go. It was the best feeling.”
