NEW WILDLIFE
Springwatch
Tuesday-Friday, BBC2 HD, 8pm
Mountain hares, red deer and avocets (the emblem of the RSPB) are among the magnificent wild creatures the Springwatch presenters are hoping to capture on camera as the 17th series gets underway on BBC2 this week.
Over the next three weeks, Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan, Gillian Burke and Iolo Williams will be presenting live from their respective new bases.
We talked to Chris, 60, and Michaela, 55, to find out more…
Where will the Springwatch presenters be based this year?
Chris Michaela and I will be together at Wild Ken Hill in Norfolk, to a site that we haven’t been to before. Gillian is off to Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland, which we’re very excited about because that will be a first, and Iolo is going to be in the Scottish Highlands, at Alladale Wilderness.
