Surprise visitors at Christmas can be a mixed blessing, and the stranger who turns up at Button House in the seasonal special of BBC1 comedy Ghosts certainly brings chaos in his wake.
Long-suffering Mike Cooper (Kiell Smith-Bynoe) and wife Alison (Charlotte Ritchie) are already sharing their stately home with eight resident spooks, so they are perturbed when a mysterious man named Nicholas (Justin Edwards) sets up camp in the grounds with his dog.
INTERLOPER
‘They are within their rights to want a quiet Christmas because their relationship is constantly challenged by the existence of their ghosts – but they learn about the reality of having an unwanted visitor,’ says Ritchie.
