On a chilly Tuesday, the marbled corridors inside Dewsbury’s Victorian town hall are a hive of activity, as people come to register births, deaths and marriages.

TV&Satellite Week is on set for award-winning writer Kay Mellor’s latest BBC1 drama, Love, Lies & Records, starring Extras and Agatha Raisin actress Ashley Jensen.

The new six-part series follows Jensen’s registrar, Kate Dickenson, whose efforts to juggle her personal life with the daily dramas of her job get even more complicated when a disgruntled colleague threatens to expose a secret from her past.
