Kamala Khan - AKA Ms Marvel - made history in 2014 as the first Muslim superhero to have her own Marvel comic-book series. Eight years on, she breaks new ground again when she becomes the first Muslim hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The action-packed six-part series stars 19-year-old Canadian newcomer Iman Vellani in the title role.
'This is my first job - it was my first audition, period, Vellani tells TV& Satellite Week as we join her for a video call. 'I was a huge fan of the comics, and of the MCU in general, when I was growing up.
