Sir Trevor McDonald revisits the notorious case of husband-and-wife serial killers Fred and Rose West.
Fred and Rose West became the most infamous serial killers in Britain when it was discovered the married couple had tortured and murdered at least 10 women and girls during the 1970s and 1980s, including their 16-year-old daughter Heather, who was one of Rose’s eight children.
Nine of their mutilated victims were found buried in the garden and basement of their home at 25 Cromwell Street, Gloucester. After their crimes were uncovered, Fred West killed himself before his trial, while his wife was convicted of 10 murders and given a whole-life sentence.
