Karl Pilkington doubles up in a new comedy on Sky One
NEW COMEDY
Sick of It
Thursday, Sky One Hd, 10pm
After his stint as Ricky Gervais’ long-suffering podcast sidekick and a reluctant traveller in An Idiot Abroad and The Moaning of Life, Karl Pilkington tries his hand at comedy writing this week with his first scripted series for Sky One.
In six-part comedy Sick of It, which kicks off with a double-bill on Thursday, Pilkington plays Karl, a downtrodden cabbie who’s living with his Auntie Norma while trying to get over the loss of his long-term girlfriend.
What makes Sick of It a little different is that Pilkington also plays a second Karl, the voice in his head who shares wisdom, criticism and philosophy of life with his real-life alter ego.
