Holt McCallany and Jonathan Groff return in the fact-inspired serial-killer drama
Acclaimed film director
David Fincher wowed critics and viewers alike with the first series of his serialkiller drama Mindhunter. Now, after nearly two years, the crime noir is back for a second season.
Set in 1977, season one followed the FBI’s pioneering Behavioral Science Unit as they attempted to solve ongoing murder cases by interviewing incarcerated killers to see how the minds of murderers worked. The new series moves the action on two years as FBI agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany), along with psychologist Wendy Carr (Anna Torv), investigate the notorious Atlanta child murders that took place between 1979 and 1981. During that period, 28 African-American children, teens and adults were killed.
