NEW CRIME DRAMA
Vienna Blood Friday, BBC2 HD, 9pm
The crime-solving odd couple of a seasoned Austrian police detective and a young English psychologist investigating baffling murders are back in the second season of BBC2’s period crime drama Vienna Blood.
Adapted by Sherlock writer Steve Thompson from the novels by Frank Tallis, the three feature-length episodes set in 1900s Vienna follow on from series one in 2019.
Matthew Beard reprises his role of English doctor Max Liebermann, who has studied under Sigmund Freud in the Austrian capital, and Jürgen Maurer returns as police inspector Oskar Rheinhardt.
