After starting life as an eight-page comic strip set in the American Midwest, few people could have predicted what a hit The End of the F****** World would become when C4 adapted it for British TV.
The first series of the jet-black road-trip comedy – following teenage ‘sweethearts’ James and Alyssa on an angst-ridden crime spree – won an army of fans and a BAFTA nomination last year.
Now it’s back for a second run and everyone’s desperate to know whether psychopathic James, who was gunned down by police in the climactic moments of the first series, lived to tell the tale.
