Sunday, Sky Sports F1 HD, race starts 5.10 pm
It’s been another phenomenal F1 season for Britain’s Lewis Hamilton as the Mercedes driver overcame the chaos and cancellations caused by coronavirus to claim a seventh world championship and equal Michael Schumacher’s record.
This year also saw Hamilton surpass the German’s record number of race wins (see panel, right), but there are still fresh challenges ahead for the 35-year-old before the season concludes in Abu Dhabi on 13 December.
On Sunday, Hamilton will be out to set a new F1 record lap time when he tackles a brand-new track at the Sakhir Grand Prix – the second race in this season’s Bahrain double header.
