DRAMA
The Staircase
Thursday, 9pm, Sky Atlantic
As Game of Thrones' Sansa Stark, Sophie Turner knows all about dark secrets, mysterious deaths and highly charged trials.
Even though she's left Westeros behind, her latest role in Sky Atlantic drama The Staircase sees her once again at the heart of a deeply dysfunctional family torn apart by intrigue and betrayal.
In this week's episode of the true-crime drama, Michael Peterson (Colin Firth) is on trial for killing his wife Kathleen (Toni Collette), while the family try to put on a united front to support him in court
Michael's adopted daughter, Margaret, played by Turner, is convinced of his innocence, and even attempts her own research to discredit the prosecution's case. Meanwhile, Michael's eldest son Clayton returns home and unwittingly makes a crucial discovery.
