LIVE CRICKET
From Wednesday, BBC HD & Sky Sports HD
Cricket fans are in for an unforgettable month as the world’s finest players take part in a fast-paced new format that promises plenty of action and some thrilling run chases.
The Hundred will see eight men’s and women’s teams from England and Wales compete in a series of matches, with sides trying to score as many runs as they can from 100 balls.
‘We’ve got the best English players and some superstars from abroad taking part,’ says former England bowler Phil Tufnell (right), who’ll be commentating for the BBC. ‘It’ll be fast-paced and a bit of a run-fest. It could be similar to the T20 format, which is all action, with plenty of boundaries, lots of wickets and some spectacular catches.’
