NEW DRAMA
Showtrial Sunday, BBC1 HD, 9pm
Made by the producers of Line of Duty and Bodyguard, BBC1’s new five-part legal drama Showtrial looks at the effect sensationalist press coverage can have on the criminal justice system.
Written by The Tunnel and COBRA’s Ben Richards, it follows obnoxious posh girl Talitha (Celine Buckens) and her lawyer Cleo (Tracy Ifeachor) as they find themselves in the eye of a media storm when Talitha goes on trial for the murder of fellow Bristol university student Hannah.
