Since returning to the cobbles after more than three decades away, Debbie Webster has quickly made her mark, and feels as much a part of Weatherfield life as a pint of Newton and Ridley’s. But how much do we really know about Kev’s little sister?

It turns out there’s more to Debbie’s return than just ‘a bit of business’ for it’s revealed this week that she’s harbouring a huge secret.

TV Times caught up with star Sue Devaney, 53, to find out about Debbie’s deceit, and why she’s itching for a good old soap scrap...

Did you always know that Debbie was keeping a secret when you came back to Corrie?

Yes! The producer told me when I was asked to return earlier in the year. It’s really interesting – we’ll see Debbie has a big heart, but when it comes to business she will walk all over you if she has to.

Where does her tough streak and determination come from?
