The welfare of Todd Grimshaw has been of little concern to his family, friends or former lovers since he did a flit from the cobbles almost three years ago. For all they knew, he could’ve been stranded in the Sahara without food or water, praying to bump into Bear Grylls.

But a letter sent to Eileen last week, supposedly from her younger son, has led to the discovery that Todd’s phone has been mysteriously abandoned by the Weatherfield canal. And suddenly, a once apathetic Billy and Sean actually give a stuff about what has happened to the unscrupulous solicitor.
