Training to be a butler at the Savoy would be a nerve-racking experience at the best of times.
So spare a thought for new recruit Michael Peluso, who learnt the tricks of the trade with a camera crew in tow for a four-part ITV documentary series about what goes on behind the gilded revolving doors of London’s oldest luxury hotel.
Filmed over an incredibly busy winter season, The Savoy will give viewers a glimpse into the experiences of being a guest at the five-star establishment, which has welcomed rock stars, royalty, prime ministers, and Oscar winners since it opened in 1889.
Here, Michael, 37, who is the son of late actor and Loose Women star Lynda Bellingham, tells TV Times why he is relishing it...
