COMPULSION
EV TUESDAY-GOOD FRIDAY, 9 PM, CHANNEL 5 DRAMA
The agony of addiction is laid bare in Channel 5's brand-new psychological thriller, Compulsion.
Airing across four consecutive nights this week, the series sees Leanne Best (Cold Feet, Four Lives) play paramedic Jenny, who has developed a serious online poker obsession to cope with her PTSD following a fatal train crash.
Unknown to her husband, Chris, Jenny has frittered away their entire savings, leaving her at the mercy of ice-cold loan shark Connie (Wild at Heart star Hayley Mills).
Then, just as Jenny reaches her lowest point, along comes a mysterious stranger, Sasha (The Split's Anna Chancellor), who offers Jenny a risky solution - steal drugs from her ambulance service job for quick cash.
But it soon transpires that Sasha has her own agenda, which could destroy everything.
Here, in an exclusive interview, Leanne, 41, tells TV Times more...
What journey does Jenny go on throughout the series?
She's a pretty confident paramedic and mum, until a tragic incident happens, which triggers a set of post-traumarelated behaviours that start to have a really negative affect on her personal life.
