Last year, Grantchester favourite Robson Green lost his partner in crime-solving when James Norton bowed out. While fans were nervous about how the ITV period drama would continue, Robson tells TV Times he was confident the series would thrive, because he trusted the quality of the scripts and still loves playing charismatic copper DI Geordie Keating.
Now, as we have lunch with the actor, 55, in a village pub around the corner from the church, he is thrilled viewers have accepted new addition Tom Brittney as clergyman Will Davenport, and can’t wait to discuss the storylines ahead…
