She’s always maintained that motherhood is one of her life ambitions, and Delta Goodrem is finally getting the chance to start a family. Following recent reports the Australian singer tied the knot with her musician partner Matthew Copley in Byron Bay over new year, Woman’s Day is now told the couple had double the reason to celebrate – they’re expecting their first child together!

“Delta and Matthew announced their happy news to close friends on New Year’s Eve and they were over the moon, despite it initially being a bit of a shock,” reveals a source close to the Voice Australia coach. “Delta says she still wants to keep things hush-hush, but she was so excited to tell her closest friends the good news and not be under pressure to hide the fact she wasn’t drinking.”
