He claims to be a self-made trillionaire and posts pictures of himself posing with fast cars and guns, puffing on cigars and showing off his muscles while he talks about doing unspeakable things to women.
Andrew Tate has styled himself as “the king of toxic masculinity” – and the things he says are enough to raise the hair on the back of your neck.
Domestic abuse groups have condemned him and warned people to steer clear of the violent, dangerous world he has created.
Yet Tate is no obscure character hovering on the fringes: he’s one of the famous figures on TikTok, where his videos have been watched more than 11,6 billion times.
But could it all be over for the 36-year-old former kickboxer?
Tate and his controversial views have been making headlines for a while but he exploded into the news again recently thanks to Greta Thunberg and the long arm of the law.
He went into the new year with his name on everyone’s lips after he taunted the 20-year-old Swedish eco-warrior by tweeting a picture of himself standing alongside a multi-million-dollar Bugatti.
“Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions,” he said.
“Please do enlighten me,” Greta clapped back. “ Email me at smalld***energy@getalife.com.”
He retaliated with a video telling her to get a life, smoking an enormous cigar in front of pizza boxes from a Romanian chain and remarking the boxes “are not recycled”.
