One of the largest trials to find a vaccine against Covid-19 recently had to be halted for a week.
After one of the volunteers in the trial by pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford fell ill, a full investigation had to be conducted to rule out the vaccine as the cause.
What happened?
People who volunteer for the vaccine trial offer to be injected with the vaccine. The development of this specific vaccine is already quite advanced, which means it’s been administered to thousands of test subjects.
