FROM BOARD TO VIDEO In the original 1995 Jumanji, two kids (Kirsten Dunst and Bradley Pierce) play a haunted board game and unwittingly unleash its beasts and characters into the real world.
Because it’s 2018 and not 1995, the sequel – Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle – is centred on a video game instead of the original board game.
A group of delinquent teens stumble upon an old ’90s game console that transports them to an alternate universe.
There they take on alter-ego avatars – played by Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and stunning newcomer Karen Gillan – and fight to survive as they figure out how to get back home.
