FOR a long time she was happy being single, lavishing attention on her dogs and luxuriating in having the time and space to do exactly what she wanted.
But it’s time, Jennifer Aniston says. “I think I’m ready to share myself with another person.
“I didn’t want to for a long time. I loved being my own woman without being part of a couple.”
Speaking on Bruce Bozzi’s SiriusXM show Lunch with Bruce, she says she’s open to the idea of romance again.
“I’ve been part of a couple since I was 20. So there was something really nice about taking that time.”
Twice-married Jen has been single since her divorce from actor, producer and screenwriter Justin Theroux in 2018, with her pooches Clyde, Sophie and Lord Chesterfield as her main companions in her $21-million (R315m) Bel Air mansion.
The 52-year-old star has always owned her singledom and her decision not to have children – now she’s owning her ready-to-mingle-again status.
But Jen – who’s twice been named the World’s Most Beautiful Woman by People magazine and the Sexiest Woman of All Time by Men’s Health – has prerequisites. “I want confidence, but not cockiness, and humour. And please be generous – a person who is kind to people.”
Conversation is also important. “It should flow the first time – that’s also kind of a good indicator.”
Suitors needn’t be famous. In an appearance on People’s TV Show last month she said she’s open to dating people “not from Hollywood”.
So is she open to online dating apps? “Absolutely not. And I also don’t like being set up. I hate it.”
