A_ Definitely. “Skin that never sees sunlight is especially sensitive, and it’s possible to develop skin cancer on the breasts and vulva,” says Terri- Ann Samuels, MD, a urogynecologist in Houston. “And melanoma on the vulva can go undetected because you aren’t actively looking at or thinking about that area.” If you’re gonna bare all in the sun, coat yourself, including your chest, inner thighs, and around the outer edges of your vulva in SPF 30 or higher every two hours, says Dr. Samuels. (FYI: No need to freak if a tiny bit gets into your vag.)
