Charlie’s Angels actress ella balinska takes another starry turn as one of cartier’s newest ambassadors, wearing a hundred carats’ worth of megawatt diamonds. Here, the 23-year old actress talks about her love of sports, and how her mother inspires her every day

You wore biker boots and hundreds of carats worth of diamonds for this shoot. Does that reflect your style?

If my style is [about] feeling comfortable and confident, then yes! This shoot is so incredible. Max Papendieck is an incredible photographer; we just put on a playlist, played and had a great time. Charles Varenne, who styled the shoot, really wanted to work with me to create looks that complemented my personality. I love styling that amplifies my individuality. We wanted to do something really exciting and dynamic with the jewellery that felt very true to who I am, which definitely had a big touch of the street style attitude in here. It felt bold, loud, strong and elegant in a modern and fresh way — which is something that I think the jewellery, Panthère de Cartier, represents!

I read that you often buy garments in the men’s section. If you could pinch something from your dad’s wardrobe, what would it be?

Yes, I incorporate men’s clothes into my style. Sometimes the cut of the clothes fits me better and I like the way they hang on me too because I am tall. If there was one thing I would steal, it would definitely be his utility pants. I really like wearing clothes that are practical; something that makes me feel ready to do anything.
