GRAZIA: When did you first realise that you had a story about yourself that you wanted to share with the world?
PRIYANKA CHOPRA JONAS: Having been in this business for over 20 years, I’ve sort of known that there’s a curiosity about my story, and most of the time, people just make up their own stories. So, I decided to tell my side of it. I think it came from working towards this milestone of 20 years in the entertainment business and I wanted to commemorate that somehow. I’ve always written op-eds and opinion pieces, but I’ve never really structured my writing and presented it as a book or screenplay, which is something I’ve always wanted to do. I thought the easiest thing would be a memoir, not realising that it was the hardest direction to take.
G: Did you get help with writing the book, or did you set up a process all by yourself because I know writers have a process? Or, did you have a fabulous team helping you out?
