Social media, today, is an intricate mosaic that presents several benefits and drawbacks to its users. One of its major boons is the opportunity of self-expression – an open space for creatives to showcase their work democratically. Art, as we know it, is no longer restricted to archaic formats. Today, the artist plays muse and conveys their views, and opinions through multiple mediums. And a new league of young visual artists are poised to harness this platform to showcase their aesthetic and thought-provoking narratives.

Saturated colour tones, psychedelic visuals, and the feminine form in all its glory are some of the many facets reflected in Kochibased content creator, Gayathri Mohan’s work. An unconventional take on fashion informs the creative director’s aesthetic, she recalls embarking on a truly creative process when she first wrapped herself in her mother’s sari and styled it with a leather jacket.
