We walk into a beauty store, physically or digitally, and find the racks stocked with products claiming to be natural, ecofriendly, organic, non-toxic and sustainable. A closer look tells us that the founders of these clean and green beauty brands are environment enthusiasts themselves and committed to nature. They not just advocate the message of sustainability but also practice what they preach in their own lives.

“We have heard how important it is for the environment to recycle products and use recycled products. By reducing our waste and reusing or repurposing what we can, we can lead an eco-friendly life. Many people don’t take recycling seriously because it takes some effort and space at home. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try anyway.

Due to this pandemic we have been in the comforts of our homes. Hence for me it becomes very important to keep me and my family surrounding clean and tidy. Every day I arrange waste in my home. I think the way we treat this waste can also help to protect the environment. I personally ensure that my garbage is segregated in four different types—paper, plastic, glass and food waste. Many might not take this seriously because it’s much convenient to dispose of everything together but it’s these small things that can together make a big difference. By starting small in our own homes, we develop a habit and then naturally we make it a lifestyle.
