What does beauty mean to you?
Being confident and at peace with who you are.
People often remark on how the fashion and beauty industries put pressure on women. What do you feel about this?
I think you need to know yourself—how good you feel in your skin, and who you want to be. There’s always going to be judgment and opin ions , so what’s important is that the person is at peace with themselves. It’s crucial to use meditation and centre yourself. It’s normal in India, but in the western world we don’t have that accessibility and philosophy. Happiness starts with us and we should make sure that we are gentle and kind to ourselves.
