EVERY NEW FRAGRANCE SETS OUT TO BEGUILE. With its composition, and, in the case of the modern beauty business, through the campaign that introduces the idea of the perfume to the world. For Louis Vuitton’s collection of fine fragrances created by perfumer Jaques Cavalier-Belletrud, the fantasy is represented by Emma Stone: A modern, glamorous nomad in designer clothes and beautiful locales. The mini travelogue, directed by Sam Mendes was launched in September along with the brand’s new fragrance, Attrape-Rêves (dream catcher)—a composition of bergamot, ginger, Turkish rose, and, unexpectedly, cacao flower—which was inspired by the fleeting sensation of joy from watching shooting stars over an open sea. It is an olfactory imprint of the vibrancy and surprise of a moment.
