Dumindha, Anuruddha And Migara Launching The Movement Colombo Exclusively For Ladies
Friends since childhood, twins Dumindha and Anuruddha Meddegoda along with Migara de Silva have teamed up to launch a fitness facility exclusively for ladies. Powered by their love for fitness, this trio whose educational background is steeped in science, maths, economics and political science from British Universities have decided to launch ‘The Movement Colombo’. Placing emphasis on healthy boot camp type workouts, the young men have done their homework in fitness and nutrition and are raring to go. With gym honed bodies as their perfect advertisement for their new business these three young men are buoyed with enthusiasm as they look forward to creating a new career in the burgeoning fitness industry.
How did you all get started in fitness?
We all started training together at the same time, when we were 17 years old. This was simply to put on some muscle and gain some weight. We are all naturally very skinny (ectomorph body type). Unfortunately we didn’t know what we were doing. We didn’t know anything about workout timings, mind muscle connection or nutrition. So we just didn’t see progress for years. Then once we realised that making progress wasn’t about just walking into a gym and lifting, our bodies started to change.
Why did you collectively decide to start this venture?
The most successful people are the ones who are totally one passionate about their business. It makes sense that this is our business because it is our passion.
When did you know this was something you wanted to do?
We probably always knew on some level, but we were too busy with other things to execute it properly. When you get older you realise the importance of loving what you do, and how crucial it is for a happy life.
