Miranda's New Normal
InStyle Australia|May 2020
She’s lived in the global spotlight for more than two decades. Now, supermodel-turned-beauty mogul Miranda Kerr is content to fly under the radar growing a business empire and making memories with her thoroughly modern family
Rachel Sharp
Miranda's New Normal

Sweet baby Myles, six months, sleeps peacefully in one room, while cheeky toddler Hart, almost two, plays with Kerr’s mother Therese, whose visit from Australia has been extended indefinitely thanks to a global travel ban. Eldest son Flynn, nine, is doing homework, popping up from time to time to ask for help. In a nearby home office, her husband of almost three years Evan Spiegel, CEO and co-founder of social media phenomenon Snapchat and the father of her two youngest children, fields countless conference calls behind closed doors.

It would be a picture of domestic bliss if it weren’t for the terrifying circumstances. Like much of the world, the Kerr-Spiegel crew are doing their best to #stayhome while the coronavirus wreaks havoc across the globe. In fact, they have little choice given that just days after InStyle’s cover shoot, and less than one week before our long-distance phone interview, LA’s insightful mayor Eric Garcetti went on the front foot and locked down the whole city.
