Becoming a part of the creative industry is not exactly an easy feat. It takes a lot of hard work, passion, and determination to get to where you want, especially if society is already filled with both aspiring and established creatives. But that didn’t stop Abi Miguel from taking a leap of faith with a camera in her hands and her head held high as she entered the world of photography way back in 2008.
A SERIES OF FORTUNATE EVENTS
When her husband presented her with a beautiful camera, a Nikon d5000, Abi was beyond ecstatic. She even calls it love at first sight since she was simply enamored with joy the moment she set her eyes on it. This heartwarming gesture sparked the fire in her because what started as a simple hobby of taking photos of different subjects turned into her lifelong passion that eventually led to the creation of her own photo studio, I am Abi Fine Art Photography.
AN ARTIST AND HER MASTERPIECE
Taking inspiration from renowned master artists such as Rembrandt, Edgar Degas, and Johannes Vermeer, Abi’s photographs are often mistaken as actual paintings. This simply goes to show she applies different techniques that all sum up to her own personal style of capturing photos. While one does not fully become an artist without creating something, Abi and her team behind I am Abi Fine Art Photography already work with what they all consider masterpieces.
