Get ready, it’s that time of year when posts with mom and dad or about mom and dad are going to start popping up on your news feeds. While the people in our lives that act as our caregivers should not only be celebrated on one day, having specific days set aside for them is a good reminder to cherish and appreciate them. By appreciate and cherish, we don’t just mean posting a picture of them online and saying a few nice words. They deserve much more than that and so we have compiled a few suggestions for both Mother’s Day and Father’s Day that are great ways of showing them an instance of your love.
Who needs a chef, when you can become the chef?
Whether it’s breakfast in bed or dinner, you can never go wrong with making something yummy for their tummy! There are many cooking recipes and hacks out there that can turn anyone from basic to pro with a simple read. Crack a couple of eggs and whisk some raw veggies to make an omelet or boil some pasta and toss in store-bought pasta sauce. Maybe sprinkle some parmesan and parsley to even give it that ‘gourmet’ look. Anyone can accomplish at least one special dish from the heart, even if it’s mainly putting a few packaged things together. If you want more of a challenge, a nice steak or stuffed chicken dinner can be mastered as well. Add some delicious veggies or baked potato to the dish and you’ve already elevated it to the core! Chef or not, who wouldn’t appreciate something made with love?

UNTTLD (Simon Belanger)
Luxurious, domineering, and vibrant – three words that solidly define UNTTLD’s incredible showcase of their F/W 2018 collection at Toronto Fashion Week. Adorned with black headdresses (or hats), the models that graced Yorkville Village’s runway flaunted boldcoloured velvet dresses and boss-lady outfits. Since 2011, designer duo Simon Belanger and Jose Manuel Jacques have been creating lux pieces that reflect on masculine feminity to emphasize the capabilities and desires of the modern woman. We had the opportunity to speak to Simon shortly after the show about their one-of-a-kind collection that is truly one to reminisce.
