Some homes you visit others you experience. The MI VIDA (‘my life’ in Spanish) Showhouse is definitely one to experience. It is a home decor’s paradise and we went in ready to copy a few decor styles.
Through the front doors you get into the breezy white kitchen. More apartments these days seem to have adapted this new design of walking into the kitchen first. It gives you the chance to showcase all your appliances and the knick-knacks decorating your counters. What the kitchen lacks in size it makes up in good taste. The groove handles on the shelves give a clean modern feel and you have to appreciate that you won’t have to worry about handles coming off with time.
The hob black oven adds a touch of class to the space and so does the grey spotlights that can be adjusted to shine on any surface around the space. To the left of the kitchen area is a small laundry room.
The kitchen spills over to the dining area then living area. Separating the two spaces is a beautiful pendant light. It is clear that lighting is a big thing in this space.
Sheba, who was contracted to do the interior says they wanted a ‘lighter, brighter contemporary style.’ We love the earthy feel of the grey accents mixed in with browns and whites.
